Some people call holistic healing "new age" but there is really nothing new about it. What makes matters even sadder is we are not helping those we purport to love because we don't have our full selves to give when we are so run-down. "Just suck it up." The painful and expensive lesson I learned is that putting myself last is simply not worth it. Self-care is often seen as a selfish luxury.
